The Rain Came Down In Sheets
It rained so hard at times this winter that the rain looked to be coming down in sheets off the coast.

Indecision

Calming
I’m working on a series of Calming abstracts. This painting looks fabulous in the white frame it has been placed in.

Taking Off
Cold Wax & Oil on Canvas, 16 x 20”
Taking Off
You’re taking off alone.
Young and tall and strong;
The sun is at your back.
So much to see,
So much to learn,
Much to feel on your trek.
The road can be rough
Things can box you in.
Regardless how long you’re gone;
Or where you’ve been,
There is always a “Welcome” waiting
Whenever you come in.

Mountain Fog
24” x 36” cold wax & oil on wood panel
This is one of my favorites. Cold wax and oil is unique to work with and dries beautifully. One of the oldest methods of painting, the pieces from history are wonderfully preserved because of the denseness of the wax. The subtlety of color like the mist of a fog shades the sky and mountains.
Feeling Spring
Spring is bright, light and colorful with fluffy clouds warming skies.
Cold Wax & Oil on Wood Panel, 18 x 24”
Visiting New Mexico I was impressed with the expanse of open spaces, the warm and beautiful colors that wrapped the mountains and the plains. Arriving home, I had to paint the vision that stayed with me.

The Taste of a Creamsicle
12” x 20” cold wax & oil on wood panel
This was painted with a lot of energy and curiosity - what’s underneath? Rich reds, oranges and indian yellow with creamy white - all those flavors chilled to perfection in a light confectionary.
Can you feel the chill, or do you see that life has seasons, and is constantly renewing itself. The snow will melt, the trees will blossom, and the stream will renew.

This warm and sunny piece, the colors of summer, is a field of life. This is part of the Soothing series meant to provide your eyes and spirit with a place to rest that is welcoming.
